Our Locations
Mark Batson grew up working on fishing boats with his father on the Wilmington water. He still lives there. That life, on the coast and close to the water, shapes every home Tongue & Groove builds and every project the firm takes on.
He founded Tongue & Groove in 2003 with a straightforward belief: the people building a home should understand how that home will actually be lived in. More than two decades later, that standard holds. Mark knows which materials hold up in salt air, which framers to trust, and what a dock on the Intracoastal needs that a dock on a tidal creek does not. That knowledge comes from a life spent here, not from a portfolio.
